Fine ELM ROW backstamp on rear of 1859 cover to Munro
Elm Row (Edinburgh) a Town Receiving office opened in 1835. This is recorded as an official local cancel from 1857-58, but the example here dated 10 August 1859 is outside the official period and is used as a backstamp only, the cancel being an Edinburgh dated duplex.
