Sent from Bradford to Edinburgh and re-addressed to Glasgow, dated 18 Oct 1849. The SG8 1d red has been initially cancelled by an undated double-circle in blue for Shipley, and again with the Edinburgh 131 upon redirection. Also an undated boxed DUKE St, LEITH and a further boxed date and time stamp of GLASGOW on rear. Interesting redirected entire.
Why it was addressed to Edinburgh when “George Hotel Glasgow” is clearly visible on front?
