A good to fine large wrapper (236 x 108) sent registered mail from Liverpool to Mefrs. Busk and Jevons, Box 1888, New York with 3x SG 126 5/- pale rose (HB, HC and HD) some faults.
Also 2x SG 94 4d vermilion (plate 13) and SG 150 1/- pale green (B-G) and SG 119 2/- blue (I-H), all stamps tied with slightly indistinct strikes of 466 numerals of Liverpool.
Also on front REGISTERED/LIVERPOOL date stamp 14 AU 74, senders blue cachet and manuscript PER CUNARD STMR.
On reverse NEW YORK/REGISTERED date stamp AUG 26. A remarkable commercial usage, this cover along with at least 16 others was discovered in a vault in New York and Brauwers records 20 examples of this 5/- cover with 9 from this correspondence.
